What to know before going waxing

Waxing is a form of hair removal where the hair is removed from the follicle versus a method like shaving where it is just trimmed at the surface or laser where the hair is burned to a point where the hair dies out and falls.
I prefer waxing over most methods because the results last longer, it exfoliates the skin leaving me smooth, and the hair gets thinner after every session.
The downside to waxing is that you have to wait to let the hair grow a certain length before returning. It should be somewhere from 1/4 of an inch to 1/2 an inch long before returning to allow enough length for the wax to grasp on and pull the hair out.
Things you need to know before going waxing:
Don’t shave for at least a two weeks before going waxing (I would say three weeks just to be safe)
Don’t let your hair get too long because it will hurt to pull it out
Shower before you go! Especially if you’re planning to do a bikini/Brazilian wax
Take an extra set of clothes including a pair of underwear and a fresh shirt
Don’t be afraid to ask for baby oil or aloe vera to cool down and ease your skin after. Most places will do it without asking
Don’t go spray tanning before; it will take your tan off!
RELAX! It is important to be relaxed while on the waxing bed to prevent as much pain as possible.
I would recommend waxing to anyone. My waxing lady always tells me how good it is for you and how it is one of the healthiest forms of hair removal. I love the results and I think it is so worth the pain.
