About Me

My name is Jasmine Nejati and I am a student at California State University, Northridge. My major is Business Management with a minor in communications studies. In High School, I was the editor-in-chief of my school newspaper as well as a writer for our online publication and the LA Times High School Insider. I now have a blog that is dedicated to posting DIY projects, life hacks, and tips and tricks.
I have earned my spot on the Dean's List because of my high GPA. I am a member of the National Society of Leadership and Success. I am a member of the National Society of Collegiate Scholars. I was a volunteer at LA Fashion Week for Spring of 2018. I am a New Student Orientation Leader for the 2018-2019 school year and I am a University Student Ambassador for my university. I am on the board of Chabad on Campus, a Jewish organization on campus. I have completed two Jewish learning classes through an organization called Sinai Scholars and have received a certificate of completion from both. I plan to continue my studies through these classes.
I love to sew, meet new people, make new connections, and spend my time with the people I care about. I am very passionate about what I do and who/what I support and I'm not afraid to let it show. I am very verbal and open about my feelings and thoughts because I know that communication is one of the most important factors not only in the business world, but in every day life. I am a very organized person, I am very social, and I am very willing to compromise with others to work things out. I am confident with myself and who I am and I try my best to share that with others. I am skilled in Microsoft office and Adobe InDesign (used to create layouts for newspapers and magazines). I like to put everything in what I do, giving it my all nothing.
My Goal

I aspire to become a fashion designer focusing on business. My love for art, design, and my passion for fashion has never failed to help me reach my maximum potential and exceed my expectations. I want to use this webfolio to build my passion for my work over my years in college to not only remind myself of my starting point, but to also help me continue working to reach my goal and show my experiences along the way. My second passion is party planning and I hope that I can do that on the side, starting while I'm still on college and continuing when I graduate. I love the whole organization side of it and I love getting inspired from professionals in the field and using that give me an idea of what I want to do.

I want to be able to inspire others with my art and my passion. One thing that really motivates me is learning about how other people gained their fame after starting small and personalized. My dream was always to become a business owner in the fashion industry and a blogger and use that to inspire others to follow their dreams and work hard because I believe that hard work and dedication truly pay off, and doing something you love makes it a million times more rewarding.
